Maryland mall continues experiential makeover
Bodies in motion will replace bodies in shopping mode in a former Macy’s location at Valley Mall in Hagerstown, Md.
Owner PREIT has announced the signing of Tilt Studio and OneLife Fitness to occupy 118,000 sq. ft. of space vacated by the department store.
“The new mix of anchor stores at Valley Mall is another example of PREIT’s success in actively reimagining our portfolio as we forge into the new age of retail,” said Joseph F. Coradino, CEO of PREIT.
Tilt Studio, which will occupy 48,000 sq. ft. at the mall, offers rides, bowling, black light laser tag, black light golf, and arcade games. Tilt Arcade operates 40 locations, but the Valley Mall installation will be one of only 10 expanded-format Studio locations.
Onelife Fitness will open its third Maryland location in a 70,000-sq.-ft space. Its clubs are community-focused, yet affordable, and feature innovations such as both indoor and outdoor pools.
