Marshalls to enter Greater Cincinnati with 26,021-sq.-ft. new store
New York City Centro Properties Group said Tuesday that a 26,021-sq.-ft. lease has been executed with Marshalls at Surrey Square, in Norwood, Ohio.
Marshalls is projected to open late 2010 at Surrey Square and will be the retailer’s first location in the greater Cincinnati area. Centro said that Marshalls will occupy the largest single vacancy remaining at the shopping center.
Surrey Square has benefited from a three-year redevelopment, which had transformed the partially enclosed 176,433-sq.-ft. shopping center into a large, multi-anchored community center. Phase I added approximately 21,000 sq. ft. of in-line retail space to the southern end of the center. McDonalds was also relocated to the high profile corner location. Phase II focused on the development of a new larger location for Kroger. Phase III reconfigured the previous Kroger building into additional retail opportunities at the center.
