Ridge Hill, the Forest City Ratner-owned regional shopping and entertainment destination in Westchester, N.Y., will be the launchpad forDreamWorks Animation’s “North Pole Adventure,” a first-of-its-kind experience that blends storytelling and cutting-edge technology—taking families on an interactive journey that starts with Shrek and ends with a personal visit with Santa.
The North Pole Adventure at Ridge Hill will be the first of eight DreamPlace sites across the country to open this holiday season, and the only one in New York.
A 2,000-sq.-ft. holiday cottage will feature animated surfaces powered by more than 3.1 million pixels and surrounded by 15,000 animated LED lights. For the November 6 opening, there will be an appearance by Santa Claus and a seven-foot tall costumed Shrek.
Patterned after a classic downtown, Ridge Hill features a central Town Square and children’s play area. Shopping, dining and entertainment options at Ridge Hill include: LEGOLAND Discovery Center, National Amusements Showcase Cinema de Lux, REI, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Lord & Taylor, as well as retailers like Apple, Anthony Vince Nail Spa, The Art of Shaving, Banana Republic, Bonefish Grill, Brooks Brothers Flatiron Shop, Charming Charlie, The Cheesecake Factory, Elevation Burger, Francesca's Collections, H&M, LA Fitness, L.L. Bean, Orvis, Sephora, Sur La Table, Teavana, Texas de Brazil, T.J. Maxx, Uniqlo, Vera Bradley, Whole Foods Market, and Yard House.
