The palace of fitness will join with a house of worship in the Phoenix area.
Life Time Athletic has purchased a 3-acre parcel in Peoria, Arizona, from Christ’s Church of the Valley in Peoria that is currently part of the church’s campus. This will be the seventh location in the Phoenix Metro for Life Time, one of the largest-format gym chains in the nation.
Velocity Retail Group, which scouted all of those locations for Life Time, reports the new facility will be 120,000 sq. ft.
“We have targeted the affluent northwest valley for Life Time’s brand expansion for a number of years,” said Darren Pitts, executive VP of Velocity Retail.
The Life Time chain consists of more than 85 locations, with the largest concentrations found in Minnesota, Texas, Georgia, and Michigan. The brand is moving nationwide with clubs springing up Ohio, Massachusetts, and New York.
