Kroger opens at Speedway Super Center

Speedway, Ind. New York City-based Centro Properties Group announced an expanded Kroger opened at Speedway Super Center, located on the west side of Indianapolis in Speedway, Ind.

The grocer celebrated its grand reopening at Speedway Super Center on Dec. 3, after investing more than $9 million to expand and renovate.

The approximately 94,000-sq.-ft. store is now Kroger’s largest in metro Indianapolis and the second largest in the state. 

Kroger’s initial store at Speedway Super Center was approximately 60,000 sq. ft. and was expanded into the adjacent retail space. Construction began in April 2009 and Kroger remained open and operating throughout the construction period.
