Kohl’s store in Texas damaged by tornado
New York City A Kohl’s Department Store in Beaumont, Texas, remained closed Thursday after a tornado on Tuesday ripped off part of its roof.
The tornado reached winds of up to 110 mph, collapsing store roofs, overturning vehicles and causing minor injuries but no deaths, according to the Houston Chronicle. The Kohl’s store lost one-third of its roof and several shoppers briefly were trapped in dressing rooms, the Chronicle said.
Roof damage also was reported at a Wal-Mart store.
