Kimco appoints new CEO to its board of directors

New Hyde Park, N.Y. -- Kimco Realty Corp. announced that Conor C. Flynn, president and CEO, has been appointed to the company’s board of directors effective January 1, 2016, simultaneous with his elevation to the CEO role. Flynn succeeds David B. Henry who retired as vice chairman of the board of directors and CEO on January 1, 2016.

Flynn, who joined Kimco in 2003 as an asset manager, was appointed president of the company in August 2014 and has previously served in a number of other senior leadership roles with the organization including that of COO, chief investment officer and president, Western Region. He received a B.A. degree in Economics from Yale University and a Master's degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Flynn is a licensed real estate broker in California, and a member of National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
