Jackson, Miss. --Kate Spade New York and Lululemon Athletica are both opening their first permanent Mississippi locations, as Chestnut Hill, Mass.-based WS Development announced the retailers’ grand opening plans at Highland Village in Jackson, Miss.
WS Development, owner of the retail destination, announced that Kate Spade New York plans its grand opening for Friday, Nov. 7, with Lululemon Athletica following one week later on Friday, Nov. 14. Both stores are located in Highland Village’s North Courtyard near Maison Weiss.
“We are proud to continue to bring new and exciting brands to Highland Village, and the addition of lululemon athletica and kate spade new york certainly help to enhance the already exceptional mix of merchants,” said Samantha David, head of Up Markets for WS Development.
The new stores come on the heels of the addition of Red Square Clothing Company, which opened at the northeast corner next to Northside Drive.
Additionally, the renovation of Highland Village is now underway. ASD of Atlanta and CDFL of Jackson will be leading the architectural design. Enhancements include brightening the facades, bringing in new greenery, and resurfacing hardscapes. WS is particularly focused on gathering areas -- redesigning the center courtyard to highlight unique landscaping features and outdoor furniture.
Highland Village is a 40-year-old, open-air, 223,000-sq.-ft. property featuring an array of specialty shopping, numerous restaurant options, and the state’s first Whole Foods which opened in 2014.
