Joie to open first U.S. store at 1200 Madison Ave.

New York City Robert K. Futterman & Associates said it has arranged a 1,346-sq.-ft. retail lease with Joie for the brand’s first U.S. store, to be located at 1200 Madison Ave., between 87th and 88th Streets on New York City’s Upper East Side.

The fashion and accessories retailer will occupy 1,025 sq. ft. on the ground floor and 321 sq. ft. of basement space. The store is scheduled to open in spring 2011. 

The Joie brand currently is sold through high-end department stores, specialty shops and 10 licensed boutiques in Japan, as well as has a free-standing boutique in Paris.
