Inland Western leases 316,050 sq. ft. of big-box space

Oak Brook, Ill. Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust announced that since November 2009 it has signed 10 new leases totaling 316,050 sq. ft. of big-box space formerly occupied by Linens ’n Things and Circuit City.

The new leases replace four former Linens ’n Things, and six former Circuit City spaces.

Among the new tenants are Ashley Furniture, Hhgregg, Marshalls, Best Buy, TJX and Bed Bath & Beyond.

In aggregate, Inland Western said it has re-leased or has under letter of intent approximately 60% of the vacant space related to the bankruptcies of Circuit City and Linens ’n Things.
