Hotel to replace Sears space at Chattanooga mall
CBL Properties announced that a 135-room Aloft Hotel by Marriott will occupy the space of a closed Sears store at Hamilton Place in the company’s home town of Chattanooga, Tenn. It will be the first Aloft in the market.
“Experiences are the new commodity, and Aloft Hotels get that,” said Mitch Patel, CEO of Vision Hospitality Group, the hotel’s developer. “The brand incorporates technology, design, and culture to set it apart from the traditional hotel, and we look forward to bringing this new experience to Chattanooga.”
The hotel will join The Cheesecake Factory, Dave & Busters, and Class A office space in the remaking of Hamilton Place. Construction is set to begin in spring.
