A popular goose from up north has landed in Manhattan.

Canada Goose, the 60-year-old brand best known for its signature goose-down jacket with Arctic Circle logo and fur-trimmed hood, has opened a flagship in the SoHo section of Manhattan. It is the company’s first-ever U.S. store and only second store to date, with the first opening in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre in October.

The 4,100-sq.-ft. store is designed to reflect the company’s roots and Arctic heritage, and includes gallery-like displays of vintage pieces from the brand’s archives.

The works of Canadian artisans are showcased throughout the space, including soapstone-carved polar bears by aboriginal visual artist Jason Carter (which also serve as a nod to the brand’s work with Polar Bears International. The store’s standout feature is its 3,840-pound marble cash-wrap, carved from a single piece of rock and sourced from a quarry in British Columbia.

The new store also a big emphasis on customer service. Shoppers can schedule personal shopping appointments, have their purchase delivered to their home or hotel, return online orders in-store and take advantage of mobile check-out.

With more than 100 different styles in 40 color selections, the new flagship offers the largest variety of Canada Good product anywhere in the world.
