Home fitness equipment giant enters retail arena

1/5/2016

Nautilus is getting up close and personal with shoppers.

The maker of Bowflex, Universal and other exercise equipment brands has opened its first-ever retail store, The Nautilus Shop, at its headquarters in Vancouver.

The roughly 3,000 -sq.-ft. space is designed to create an environment that supports engagement between customers and products, as well as the development of new concepts for the company’s retail partners.

“The Nautilus Shop offers our customers the chance to engage with all of our products in a way they never have before,” said Jeff Collins, VP, general manager retail of Nautilus. “We wanted to create a space in which customers could physically try out the product, learn more about the brands and get their questions answered in real time by our Nautilus fitness consultants. With this new retail space, we are focused on finding fresh ways to positively impact the experiences our customers and retail partners have with our brands.”

The store is attached to the Nautilus Innovation Center, a research and development space that opened in May.
