Hibbett Sports opens 1,000th store, in Texas

New York -- Hibbett Sports’ expansion plan hit an important milestone in Sealey, Texas this month, with the opening of its 1,000th store location.

Texas, the target of the company’s expansion for several years, is now home to 100 Hibbett Sports locations.



In business since 1945, Hibbett Sports Inc. and its subsidiaries operate 1,000 athletic retail stores in small to mid-sized markets, predominantly in the South, Southwest, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions of the United States. The company’s primary retail format is a 5,000-sq.-ft. store located in strip centers and enclosed malls.
