Glendale Galleria names architects for center renovation
Glendale, Calif. -- Glendale Galleria, a 1.5-million-sq.-ft. super-regional shopping center announced the architects who will work on the center's grand renovation project. Glendale Galleria is owned and operated by Chicago-based General Growth Properties.
Kevin Kennon Architects has been selected as Design Architect and ELS Architecture and Urban Design as Executive Architect. The two companies will work together to redesign the Glendale Galleria. Objectives include a modernized look, improved signage visibility, and enhanced circulation and access both inside and out.
The renovation will commence this year and conclude in 2013.
In addition to the renovation, a new 120,000-sq.-ft. Bloomingdale's store will join Glendale Galleria, opening in the fall of 2013 in a former Mervyn's space. This will be the eighth Bloomingdale's in the Los Angeles market.
