GameWorks coming to Mall of America’s fourth floor

7/10/2017

The fourth floor of the Mall of America, which has long been a center of night-time activity at the Bloomington, Minnesota, institution, continues to undergo an overhaul.

Owner Triple Five decided to shut down its 14-screen cineplex on the fourth floor following the 2016 holiday season to make way for what it said would be a “first-to-market entertainment venue.” This week the Sky Deck Sports Grill on that level announced it would re-open this later summer as a GameWorks gaming location.

Mall of America will be the seventh location for GameWorks, which offers bowling, laser tag, and arcade games along with American-style cuisine and craft beer and cocktails. Other GameWorks can be found in Las Vegas; Seattle; Denver; Newport, Kentucky; Chesapeake, Virginia; Ontario, California, and Schaumburg, Illinois.

The Mall of America GameWorks will encompass 31,300 sq. ft.
