The Fresh Market to open in New Orleans
New Orleans -- Covington, La.-based Stirling Properties said that The Fresh Market will open a new store in New Orleans on July 25, marking the grocery retailer’s fourth store in the state.
“We are excited to open our store in New Orleans and to expand our reach in Louisiana,” said Craig Carlock, Fresh Market president and CEO. “We look forward to introducing The Fresh Market’s concept of quality perishables, excellent customer service and a unique atmosphere to an expanded customer base.”
The New Orleans store has more than 24,800 sq. ft. and is located on St. Charles in a historic building that was originally redeveloped by Stirling for Borders.
“This historic property will soon come back to life as the debut of The Fresh Market to the New Orleans area,” said Lewis Stirling, executive VP of Stirling Properties. “We are pleased to bring the first specialty grocer to St. Charles Avenue and the Garden District neighborhood.”
