Former pop-up store leaves mall after 16 years
In 2002, Palmetto Moon got its start as a pop-up in Citadel Mall in Charleston. Now the 18-store chain is closing its store there and moving into a nearby Tanger Outlets.
Adam Stone, CEO of the seller of lifestyle and sports paraphernalia, told the Charleston Post and Courier that Tanger offered a larger 7,200-sq.-ft. store and an opportunity to gain access to new shoppers.
J.C. Penney pulled out of Citadel Mall last year and was replaced by an outpatient center for the Medical University of South Carolina.
