Empire Outlets signs American Eagle

Empire Outlets, New York City’s first outlet center located in the borough of Staten Island, just signed another tenant. American Eagle Outfitters will open an 11,031-sq.-ft. store at the outlets that will feature both American Eagle and Aerie brands.

The specialty apparel retailer will join a roster of brands including Nordstrom Rack, Brooks Brothers, H&M, Banana Republic, Gap Factory and Columbia Sporting Goods, and Samsonite when Empire debuts this spring.

The BFC Partners project will open the 340,000 sq. ft. retail project in phases starting on April 18, with the vast majority of tenants open for business in the summer.

Empire Outlets will also feature a 40,000-sq.-ft. food and beverage deck with views of Manhattan. Dining spots will include Mamoun’s Falafel, Wasabi Steak & Sushi, Shake Shack, Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque, Artichoke Basille’s Pizza, Nathan’s Famous, and MRKTPL, a 12,723-sq.-ft. food hall.
