11/24/2015

EDENS announced it acquired Casa Linda Plaza, one of the oldest shopping centers in the Dallas, Texas. The 323,000 sq. ft. center, was first opened in the late 1940s.

Casa Linda Plaza is located five miles northeast of downtown, situated on three of the four corners at the intersection of Buckner Boulevard and Garland Road. The center is anchored by Albertson's and Petco, as well as, mix of local and national retailers including Pie Wei, Torchy's Tacos, El Fenix Restaurant, Highland Park Cafeteria, and Elliott's Hardware to name a few.

In 1939, Carl Brown began the process of turning part of his family farm into a shopping center – a place for the residents in this area to spend time together. It still fulfills that mission today with a mix of Main Street friendliness and modern goods and services in a walkable historic setting.

"This center is a part of the fabric of East Dallas and the White Rock Lake area; it's entrenched in the community," says Chad Braun, Managing Director. "Our goal is to continue to be good stewards of the property and maintain that reputation."
