Donahue Schriber launches construction on Rocklin Crossings
Rocklin, Calif. -- Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Donahue Schriber announced the start of construction on Rocklin Crossings, a 543,500-sq.-ft. power center located just east of Sacramento, in Rocklin, Calif.
Anchored by Walmart, Rocklin Crossings is one of two sister-shopping centers being developed by Donahue Schriber within the city. Together, they will offer over 900,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurants providing a regional shopping and entertainment destination for Rocklin.
Located directly across the Interstate 80 interchange, Rocklin Commons will follow at a later date as a second phase, with both centers slated to open in spring 2014. The shopping center will be a complement to Whitney Ranch, a new sub-division now under construction in the northwest area of Rocklin.
“We are very excited to be underway,” said Donahue Schriber executive VP and chief investment officer David W. Mossman. "This project has been entitled since 2008 but we were not going to build until we had strong leasing activity. Now we’re ready to roll.”
