Discount giant to anchor second phase of Orlando development

Target will open a 65,000-sq.-ft. store at Vineland Pointe, the new 450,000-sq.-ft. retail center in Orlando, Fla. O’Connor Capital Partners brokered the deal.

The discounter will anchor Phase 2 of the project, which is on track for holiday 2020. Phase 1 opened in December 2018, featuring such off-price retailers as Burlington, Marshall’s, Ross and Lucky’s Market. The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema-anchored Phase 3 is also slated to open in 2020.

Vineland Pointe is located in the heart of Orlando’s tourist corridor on 69 acres of land adjacent to Interstate 4 along Daryl Carter Parkway.

“Target is a phenomenal anchor for Phase 2 of Vineland Pointe, bringing the ultimate in convenience retail for our shoppers,” said Bill O’Connor, CEO of O’Connor Capital Partners. “Both to the local community and Orlando visitors will benefit from this new destination shopping option.”
