Dick's expands to Washington state

Seattle Dick's Sporting Goods said Tuesday it will open its first Washington store at South Hill Mall in Puyallup next spring.

The new Dick's store will cover nearly 60,000 sq. ft. of space previously occupied by bankrupt Circuit City and Linens 'n Things.

The new store is part of a West Coast expansion plan for Dick’s that has the retailer opening 15 stores in California. Dick’s currently has one store in Oregon, with six more locations there under development.

The newly redeveloped South Hill Mall is owned and operated by Youngstown, Ohio-based Cafaro Co.
