Cypress Retail to market The Summit at Calabasas

Calabasas, Calif. X Team International said Friday that Los Angeles-based partner Cypress Retail Group is marketing The Summit at Calabasas, the first privately funded retail center using the City of Calabasas Green Building Ordinance, on behalf of developer Dollinger Properties.

The Summit, which is currently under construction, and all tenants are using the Calabasas-LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver rating standards.

The 70,000-sq. ft. project is expected to open in the first quarter of 2010.

Specialty health foods market Pacific Coast Greens will occupy a 14,000-sq.-ft. space, joining Wolf Creek Restaurant and Brewing Co. and upscale Mexican restaurant Senor Fred’s.

Features of the project’s design aim to reduce the carbon footprint by diverting the solar impact to reduce electrical and mechanical cooling through the building and landscape design. Portions of the building materials and 75% of waste will be recycled during construction of the center.
