Corvallis Market Center leases to specialty grocer

Corvallis, Ore. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers announced the lease of Trader Joe’s at Corvallis Market Center, in Corvallis, Ore. The store is slated to open next year

Construction of the 12,000-sq.-ft. store will begin in August and is scheduled for completion in late 2009, according to Regency.

In addition to the Trader Joe’s lease announcement, the 84,548-sq.-ft. shopping center is 100% leased with national merchants including T.J. Maxx, Michaels, Famous Footwear and Dress Barn, along with regional and local restaurants, retail and service businesses.

Regency Centers closed on the land acquisition for Corvallis Market Center in February 2007 and opened the center in April 2008. Corvallis Market Center and the 71,000-sq.-ft. Tanasbourne Market Center in Hillsboro, Ore., are the newest shopping centers among 11 in Oregon that are owned and operated by Regency Centers.
