Conway Stores leases new Brooklyn location

New York City Winick Realty Corp. said Tuesday that Conway, the New York City-based discount clothing retailer with 45 stores in nine states, has leased a new 36,000-sq.ft. retail store at 427 Fulton Street in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Conway is relocating an existing store at 503 Fulton Street where it had been located for more than 20 years.

Over a nine-month period, Conway completely renovated the building by creating an all-glass exterior and reinstalling the second floor, which had been removed by the previous tenant. The store has three floors, each with 12,000 sq. ft. of space and will serve as the company’s flagship location outside of Manhattan.

H&M and Aeropostale are slated to open stores there within the next year and major department stores are also exploring taking space in the area, said Winick.
