The Container Store and more opening stores at Westchester’s Ridge Hill

Yonkers, New York - Forest City Ratner Companies, owner and developer of Westchester’s Ridge Hill in Yonkers, New York, announced that The Container Store will occupy 25,000 sq. ft. on Market Street across from The Whole Foods Market Yonkers.



FCRC also announced that Muse Paintbar and Bark N’ Bones have also signed leases at Ridge Hill. These new tenants, in addition to other lease agreements that the company recently announced, will add approximately 50,000 sq. ft. to the retail, dining and entertainment mix at the popular center.



“We are delighted to have The Container Store join our family of retailers because they understand that shopping in the 21st century involves more than simply fulfilling an order—they understand the customers’ needs and will add significant value to those who shop at Ridge Hill,” said Kathryn Welch, executive VP, Forest City Ratner Companies. Other new tenants include Starbucks, Five Napkin Hand and Stone and Poll Brothers Italian cuisine.

The 25,000-sq.-ft. The Container Store will open during summer 2015, joining over three dozen retailers and more than a dozen restaurants at Ridge Hill. Recent additions at Ridge Hill include The Children’s Place and Banana Republic. Plus, Lord & Taylor has expanded its Men’s and Children’s departments.



Westchester’s Ridge Hill is a regional destination patterned after a classic downtown, featuring a central Town Square and children’s play area. Shopping, dining and entertainment options at Ridge Hill include: LEGOLAND Discovery Center, National Amusements Showcase Cinema de Lux (a 12-screen movie theater featuring a restaurant, bar and children’s playroom), REI, Whole Foods Market, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Orvis and L.L. Bean, Lord & Taylor’s, and Apple. Food offerings include The Cheesecake Factory, Bonefish Grill, Elevation Burger, Texas de Brazil, and Yard House.
