Connecticut's first Bass Pro Shops opens in $750M mixed-use Steelpointe Harbor

Bridgeport Landing Development, a subsidiary of The RCI Group announced that Connecticut’s first Bass Pro Shops has opened at Steelpointe Harbor located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.


The Steelpointe Harbor Bass Pro Shops is a 150,000 sq. ft. store featuring Uncle Bucks Fish Bowl and Grill restaurant, Black Widow Billiards™ parlor complete with two tournament pool tables, a bowling alley with 12 full lanes, an archery range and aquarium.


At the grand opening held in November shoppers were treated to appearances by MLB player Johnny Damon and outdoors world celebrities Brant McGee from the History Channel’s Alone Show, T.J. Ott from the Wicked Tuna show, and Roland Martin, a nine-time Bassmaster Angler of the Year. In addition, Bass Pro Shops donated 50 cents of every dollar spent during Wednesday’s event to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, the Bureau of Natural Resources and America’s Wildlife Museum and Aquarium.


“We are so excited that the first Bass Pro Shops to open in Connecticut is located in our project,” said Ferrara Jerum International partner and Steelpointe Harbor leasing consultant Douglas Jerum. “Our goal has been to secure a strong mix of both recognizable and first-to-market retailers for this project. With the opening of Bass Pro Shops, we have certainly done that.”


Located adjacent to I-95 in Southern Fairfield County, Connecticut, Steelpointe Harbor is a 2 million sq. ft., $750 million mixed-use, superregional destination. Spanning 50 acres, the project will feature more than 750,000 sq. ft. of retail, restaurants and entertainment, a 12-screen premium theater, two hotels, 1,100 mid-and-high rise residential units, 30,000 sq. ft. of office and a 200-slip full service deep water marina.
