New York -- Coach announced it will open its first Paris flagship, timed to coincide with the brand’s 75th anniversary. The store, located on the famed Rue Saint-Honoré, is expected to open this fall.
Ian Bickley, president, International Group for Coach, said, “We're especially excited about the opening of this prominent Paris location, our first flagship in this important global fashion capital, and centerpiece of our European growth strategy. We're confident that our new Modern Luxury store environment, showcasing Coach's rich heritage and commitment to craftsmanship along with product designed by Stuart Vevers, will be warmly embraced by the discerning Parisian consumer and international visitors alike."
The 6,500-sq.-ft., two-level retail space was designed by Coach creative director Stuart Vevers in partnership with William Sofield, designer and president of Studio Sofield. It features an interior that has a distinctive New York City attitude with the latest modern luxury evolution of Coach’s design and positioning. It will include a unique VIP shopping salon and monogram shop.
A central blackened steel and mahogany staircase will be a centerpiece for the store. Warm lighting, hand tufted carpets, and fine millwork will accent each room and emphasize a contrast of materials and expressions. The flagship will feature a mix of custom-designed cabinetry with vintage and bespoke furniture and objects.
