The Clinic at Walmart opens in Florida

Rockledge, Fla. The Clinic at Walmart, operated by Wuesthoff Health System, has begun a series of openings in Florida.

Its first location, which opened in December in the Walmart Supermarket in Merritt Island, marks the first of five clinics to be owned and operated by Wuestoff Health Systems.

Four additional clinics are scheduled to open in Walmart Supercenters in Cocoa in March, Palm Bay in October, Melbourne in December and Titusville in April 2011.

The walk-in clinics will treat acute ailments and funnel patients to the health system’s two hospitals in Melbourne and Rockledge.
