Meghann Martindale, who started her retail real estate career as a leasing and sales associate in CBRE’s San Francisco office 18 years ago, has returned to the company to head its global research operation.
In the intervening years, she worked in leasing at Simon Property Group in New York, Related Urban in Los Angeles, and Terranomics Retail Services in San Rafael, Calif.
Martindale, who has served as a guest lecturer at New York University’s Schack Institute of Retail since 2015, replaces longtime CBRE research chief Melina Cordero, who was promoted to managing director of retail capital markets last month.
“Meghann is the perfect choice to continue CBRE’s analysis of consumer preferences, retail innovations, economic shifts and how each factor will shape retail real estate in the future,” said Anthony Buono, CBRE’s global president of retail.
