CBRE firms up Seattle brokerage team

Going local is the big trend in retail center food and beverage options, so why not for retail brokerage houses?



That’s the tack CBRE is taking in its Seattle office with the hiring of two long-time leasing pros from Washington State-based Wallace Properties, which lays claim to scouting out the best locations from “Olympia to Bellingham and from Seattle to Spokane.”



Joining CBRE are former Wallace brokerage unit president Scott Blankenship and broker Kathleen “KT” Taylor, each with more than 20 years of commercial property experience in the state. Blankenship was the founder and CEO of Cascade Commercial Properties, which merged with Wallace in 2011.



CBRE’s research and technology capabilities influenced Blankenship’s decision to make the move. “These will be a big game-changer,” he said.
