CBRE appoints Steven H. Gartner to managing director of retail

Philadelphia -- CBRE Group announced that Steven H. Gartner has been appointed to managing director of retail for the Greater Pennsylvania Region. Gartner will lead CBRE’s retail brokerage platform throughout the region, driving growth and creating a cohesive and collaborative service offering for retail clients, as well as continue to actively maintain strategic client relationships both in Philadelphia and across the country.



Gartner has been in the commercial real estate brokerage industry for thirty years. He joined CBRE in December 2014 as executive VP for retail as a part of its Global High Street Retail Practice for both occupiers and owners, and in his new role, will still be involved in growing that endeavor. Prior to joining CBRE, he served as president and partner of Metro Commercial Real Estate, and before that, he was COO of Michael Salove Company (now MSC Retail).

Through-out Gartner’s career he has worked with retailers including Gap, The TJX Companies, Kohl’s, Citibank, Ahold USA and David’s Bridal, as well as landlords such as Kimco Realty, Forest City and Brandywine Realty Trust.
