CBL has named Alan Lebovitz senior VP of management to succeed Jerry Sink, who has retired after a 25-year career at the company. Lebovitz will oversee the staff and operations at the company’s 123 properties, a responsibility that encompasses some 300 employees and 77 million sq. ft. of retail.
Lebovitz joined CBL in 1995 as assistant general manager and tenant coordinator at WestGate Mall in Spartanburg, South Carolina. After progressing through various positions in development, leasing and management, he was promoted to VP in 2002 and then to senior VP of asset management in 2009. Lebovitz worked in real estate asset management at Goldman Sachs prior to joining CBL.
“Alan is well-respected for his enthusiastic hands-on and team-centric management style. He has in-depth knowledge of the CBL portfolio and strong relationships with the mall teams,” said Stephen Lebovitz, president & chief executive officer.
