Caswell-Massey to open new Manhattan boutique

New York City America’s oldest retailer, Caswell-Massey, has signed on to open a new boutique in Manhattan’s newly renovated Limelight Marketplace, which will open as a retail destination in March 2010.

Caswell-Massey, which offers luxury personal-care products, was founded in Newport, R.I., in 1752.

“We cannot wait to open our second New York City store in the Limelight Marketplace -- our first Manhattan launch since our flagship opened in 1926,” said Carrie Long, VP retail for Caswell-Massey.

Limelight Marketplace will transform a historic 163-year-old venue into a three-story “festival of shops,” which will feature elaborate facades and varied designs that invoke the feeling of a stroll down a European street.
