Carson Pirie Scott to renovate Randhurst Village location

Mount Prospect, Ill. The Bon-Ton Stores announced its Carson Pirie Scott Randhurst Village store located in Mount Prospect, Ill., will undergo a two-year renovation to coincide with the redevelopment of Randhurst Village into an open-air, lifestyle center with retail, restaurants, entertainment and a hotel.

The three-level, 205,000-sq.-ft. store is slated for a complete remodel to complement the new look of the center. The project is scheduled to commence this summer and be completed in the fall 2010.

Bud Bergren, Bon-Ton president and CEO, said, “We are very excited and pleased about the renovation to our Carson Pirie Scott store. We believe the new lifestyle Randhurst Village will be a premiere retail center and very inviting for our customers in this market. We are also pleased that we will have the capacity to offer a greater selection of merchandise as a result of the renovation.

“The primary objective of our remodel is to reallocate space and realign departments to maximize productivity and create a new environment that enhances the customer’s shopping experience. We look forward to our customers’ response.”

The Bon-Ton Stores operates 280 stores, including 12 furniture galleries, in 23 states in the Northeast, Midwest and upper Great Plains under the Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers nameplates; In Detroit, it operates as Parisian.
