California Fish Grill opens first Arizona location
California Fish Grill’s motto is “The ocean is our backyard,” but not quite so in its newest location.
Its extensive menu of grilled and batter-fried fish, bowls, and fish tacos (beer and wine available) grew the concept to 26 locations in California. Now it’s stepped outside its home state for the first time with a 3,183-sq.-ft. store at the Mesa Grand center in Mesa, Arizona.
“California Fish Grill is an exceptional concept and restaurant operator that is in a category currently underserved in the state. We are excited to bring this distinctive brand to the Valley and have several more locations in process,” said Dave Cheatham, president of Velocity Retail Group, the restaurants Arizona real estate broker.
Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Irvine, California Fish Grill’s aim is to serve fresh seafood at a reasonable price. It also stands by a sustainability pledge and partners with reputable fisheries that provide the freshest wild-caught and responsibly farm-raised fish.
