Cabela’s to open stores in Texas and Oregon

Sidney, Neb. Cabela's has announced plans to open new stores in Texas and Oregon.

The outdoor gear retailer plans to build one of its traditional megastores in Allen, Texas, and open a smaller retail outlet in a Springfield, Ore., shopping mall. Both are expected to open next spring.

The new Texas store will have 100,000 sq. ft., and it will be the third Cabela's in the state.

The Oregon store will have 58,000 sq. ft. at Springfield's Gateway Mall.
