Buxton reports positive growth in ’09

7/23/2009

Fort Worth, Texas Customer analytics provider Buxton reported Wednesday that the company signed a total of 49 new clients during a solid first half of 2009. New client totals by division are 19 retailers and restaurants, 24 public sector entities and six healthcare organizations.

Retail clients include Carter’s, Under Armour and Massage Heights.

“We’ve had a really strong 2009,” said Charles Wetzel, president and COO of Buxton. “From the retail side of things, retailers still in the game have realized they aren’t going anywhere and it’s time to aggressively plan for 2010. Customer analytics has become a top priority for these retailers, recognizing that their customers – both new and prospective – are what’s keeping their doors open right now.”

During the month of June, more companies inked contracts with Buxton than in any previous month since the company’s inception in 1994.

In addition to the expansive list of new clients this year, the revenue of new contracts has increased over 2008. Moving forward, the company said the remainder of 2009 continues to be promising with a number of retailers, cities, manufacturers and healthcare organizations looking to sign on for projects in the third quarter.

In the third quarter, Buxton said it will announce two new products within its CommunityID division focusing on business retention efforts and identifying retailers for ethnic markets nationwide.
