Burlington Coat Factory opens at Marshfield Plaza

Chicago Los Angeles-based Primestor Development announced that Burlington Coat Factory opened March 5 at Marshfield Plaza on Chicago’s South Side.

The 64,000-sq.-ft. store joins Staples in anchoring the 454,000-sq.-ft. center, which will open this summer. Staples opened on Feb. 25, joining Marshalls and Dollar Tree, which made their debuts in 2009.

Marshfield Plaza replaces the shuttered 600,000-sq.-ft. Libby Food canning plant, continuing the redevelopment of the neighborhood’s retail corridor and the 34th Ward’s expansive redevelopment efforts.
