Burlington Coat Factory to open at Marshfield Plaza

Chicago Primestor Development announced Wednesday that Burlington Coat Factory will open a store on Chicago’s south side, in Marshfield Plaza.

The retailer will open a 64,000-sq.-ft. store in summer 2010.

Burlington Coast Factory will join Chili’s, Marshalls, Dollar Tree, Target, Jewel-Osco, Staples, Petco, Anna’s Linens, Fifth Third Bank, Chili’s and Panda Express. In addition, construction has begun on LA Fitness.

The 454,000-sq.-ft. Marshfield Plaza is Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Primestor’s first development in Chicago.

Marshfield Plaza replaces the shuttered 600,000-sq.-ft. Libby Food canning plant.
