Bob’s Discount Furniture to open at former Fortunoff building

Paramus, N.J. -- Ripco Real Estate has leased the former Fortunoff Building at 150 Route 17 northbound in Paramus, New Jersey, to Bob’s Discount Furniture.



Without a permanent tenant since July 2009, Ripco was hired in mid-October 2014 to lease the property. Five months later, through the efforts of Ripco’s New Jersey team, lead by Ira Kerner and Alison Horbach, the landlord has executed a lease with the discount retailer.



According to Horbach, “With five major regional malls (Garden State Plaza, Paramus Park, Fashion Center, Shoppes at Riverside, and Bergen Town Center) within 3 miles of the site, Bob’s will be in a great position to capitalize on the existing retail traffic.”



Listed for lease or sale, the freestanding, approximately 39,000-sq.-ft. retail building on approximately 2.75 acre is located between Century Road and Midland Avenue. Additionally, the site is easily accessible to Route 4, The Garden State Parkway and Route 208.



Area retailers include: Sports Authority, Bed Bath & Beyond, Christmas Tree Shops, IKEA, Michael’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bassett Furniture, and Golf Galaxy, to name a few.
