BJ’s breaks ground on new store
New York City Developers broke ground Thursday on a new 85,000-sq.-ft. BJ’s Wholesale Club in Quincy, Mass. It is slated to open in spring 2010.
The Quincy store is being constructed by QBJ Land Development LLC, a subsidiary of Coastal Partners LLC, Beverly Farms, Mass.
QBJ’s development team includes Construction Management & Builders of Lynnfield, Mass.; RJ O’Connell & Associates of Stoneham, Mass.; Cubellis Associates of Boston, Mass.; and Vanasse & Associates of Andover, Mass. Financing is being provided by Cambridge Savings Bank of Cambridge, Mass.
QBJ and its parent company, Coastal Partners LLC, specialize in community-oriented mixed-use and retail development projects. BJ’s Wholesale Club is headquartered in Natick, Mass., and currently operates 184 clubs and 103 gas stations in 15 states.
