Big Y plans prototype store in 2011

Springfield, N.J. Big Y Foods said Thursday that it plans to open a new, 45,000-sq.-ft. prototype store in Berkshire County, Mass., according to a report by Supermarket News.

The store, one of the chain's Big Y World Class Markets, is slated to open in summer 2011. It will be the company’s 57th store and is opening on the former site of a Diesel Dan’s fueling facility.
