Belk begins construction on Port Orange store

Port Orange, Fla. Charlotte, N.C.-based Belk has launched construction of a 74,000-sq.-ft. department store at The Pavilion at Port Orange, a 550,000-sq.-ft. open-air development in Port Orange, Fla.

According to mall developers CBL & Associates Properties and The Benchmark Group, the new Belk is slated to open spring 2010 and will be joined by a 14-screen Hollywood Theater along with junior anchors Marshalls, Michaels, Homegoods, Ulta and PetCo.
