Baskin-Robbins identifies key Texas expansion markets
Canton, Mass. Baskin-Robbins said Tuesday it has identified two Texas cities as key expansion markets for the chain. Austin and San Antonio have both been labeled by the company as priority markets for 2009.
Baskin-Robbins said it aims to develop 20 new stores in the Austin region and 29 in San Antonio. It will host a brand introduction seminar on July 8 in Austin and on July 9 in San Antonio to discuss store design, market growth, marketing, training and site selection among potential developers.
Baskin-Robbins currently operates more than 6,000 stores in 35 countries and opened more than 600 stores globally in 2008. The domestic footprint is nearly 2,700 locations.
