Andrew Schwartz to lead new global strategic partnership group for The Howard Hughes Corporation

New York -- The Howard Hughes Corp. announced that Andrew Schwartz has been hired to lead the newly created Global Strategic Partnerships Group as senior VP. He will be responsible for identifying and securing new corporate partnerships across the company’s sought after portfolio that spans from New York to Honolulu, the new division will play an important long term role for the growing company.



Prior to joining Howard Hughes, Schwartz was the senior VP of Global Partnerships at Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment where he was responsible for overseeing all partnership sales efforts for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and the NHL’s New York Islanders at Barclays Center. In addition, Schwartz has experience managing strategic partnerships with MLB, the NHL and the PGA Tour while previously at Sirius XM, where he also developed customized advertising and marketing campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and premier global brands.



Along with Schwartz, the company also welcomes two VP’s to the Global Strategic Partnerships unit – Andrew Shahadi, former VP at Engine Shop Agency where he was responsible for overseeing sports and lifestyle-related sponsorships, and Peter Helfer, former director, partnerships & media for the New York Jets. Christian Sbily, former member of the marketing partnerships group at the Madison Square Garden Company, also joins as coordinator.
