American Girl to open at Tysons Corner Center

McLean, Va. Santa Monica, Calif.-based Macerich and the Alaska Permanent Pension Fund said Tuesday that American Girl will open a new store at Tysons Corner Center, located minutes from the nation’s capital in Northern Virginia.

American Girl is planning to open its first Washington, D.C.-area store, a two-level, 23,000-sq.-ft. experiential retail store, at Tysons Corner Center in summer 2011. The new store will feature a 110-seat Bistro, a Doll Hair Salon, and a “Creativi-Tees” boutique.

Tysons Corner Center is a 2.2-million-sq.-ft. super-regional shopping center featuring Nordstrom’s first East Coast location, the first Apple store and the first location for Cusp from Neiman Marcus.
