Ace Hardware to re-enter Memphis

Memphis, Tenn. Ace Hardware is gearing up to return to the Memphis, Tenn., market.

The first of two Ace Hardware stores will open on Wednesday, while the second is slated to open in East Memphis in April.

Ace Hardware has not operated a store in the region for about 10 years.

"About a year and half ago, we noticed a void of Ace stores west of the Tennessee River and have since made a more concentrated effort to seek out investors to join the Ace and open their own hardware store," said Shawn Robertson, an Ace divisional business manager.

The new Ace Hardware opening on Wednesday is 12,000 sq. ft., while the one in East Memphis is 10,000 sq. ft.
