A food hall helmed by James Beard award-winning TV chef Andrew Zimmern is on tap for The Dayton’s Project, the mixed-use makeover of the Dayton’s department store building in downtown Minneapolis.
Zimmern and partner Robert Montwaid, creator of Gansevoort Market in New York, plan a massive eating emporium covering 40,000 sq. ft. on the first and lower levels of the building.
“Downtown Minneapolis has been in need of a clubhouse like this, where all are welcome to come enjoy great food, first class amenities,” said Zimmern, the host of the Travel Channel’s “Bizarre Food” series.
Mid-America Real Estate Group is handling leasing for the retail portion of the The Dayton’s Project, which is slated to open in mid-2019. Today 601w, United Properties, and the Telos group are also partnered on the project.
